Everything You Need to Know About the Medical Aesthetics Program
Choosing where to attend post secondary school is a big decision, but the right course can open a lot of doors when it comes to your future. For example, if you have a personal interest in cosmetics or other aesthetics, a medical aesthetics course could be perfect for you! Read on to learn more about what our program offers students.
What will the course teach me?
As with everything in today’s digital world, technology paves the way of our program. Many medical aesthetic procedures have changed and improved over the years. At the School of Natural Medical Aesthetics, we believe the days of going “under the knife” are over.
That’s why we train our students in non-invasive cosmetic and aesthetic theory and techniques. Here are a few of the procedures our students will learn:
- Hair Anatomy & Hair Removal
- Skin Resurfacing & Rejuvenation
- Body Contouring & Weight Loss
- Anti-Aging Techniques
- Physics of Laser, IPL, RF, and other technologies
The nature of our treatments, procedures and equipment often cross over to help other conditions as well.
How is the course structured?
Our course is a 6-week hybrid training program. We believe a mixture of at home study and hands-on training provides students with a well-rounded education, and the skills and practical experience required to work in medi-spas and medical aesthetic clinics across Canada and the US. For the first part of the course, students will spend 4-weeks completing online study modules. There are 5 modules which are presented to students one at a time. Once they have completed the module and the final exam, you will have access to the next section. After all 5 modules have been completed, you’ll be invited to a 2-week training session led by industry professionals in Regina, SK. The 2-weeks of hands on training takes place in our medical aesthetics clinic where you will be working with real patients alongside our in-house professionals. At this time the school will also provide you with your own set of scrubs and any living accommodations you may need.
What will I receive at the end of the course?
After you’ve completed your 6-weeks of training you will graduate with a Certificate in Medical Aesthetics from The School of Natural Medical Aesthetics. Upon completion, you’ll also be presented with a package of medical aesthetics products, including a set of Dragon Skin Care products that is valued at over $600!
If you’re interested in aesthetics, cosmetics or the spa industry, and wish to attain a successful career in medical aesthetics, our program might be right for you.
